Community Clean-up Walk – 8th Ave NW.  Saturday, October 7 at 10 a.m. at Kirke Park. Join us for the 8th Ave NW clean-up walk on October 7 at 10 am. We are partnering with Seattle Clean Street Collective for the clean-up. It will be fun and educational, and we will pick up trash safely (with all sorts of helpful tools provided).

We will start at Kirke Park at 10 am.  Neighbors of any age and ability welcome! This is a safe and educational event for children, so please bring your families!

Whittier Heights Emergency Hub / Outdoor Movie Night.  Saturday, September 9 at 7 p.m. Join us to learn about our Whittier Heights Emergency Hub (http://seattleemergencyhubs.org/ballard/) and then an outdoor movie at Kirke Park on Saturday, September 9 at 7 pm (movie starts at 8 pm). All ages welcome! There will be treats and at least one movie, if not a double-feature. Save the date for now. We will give more information as soon as possible.

Baker Park Public Meeting/Open House.  Saturday, August 12 at 1  p.m at Baker Park, 8347 14th Ave NW.  From Seattle Parks and Recreation:  We need your input! Seattle Night Out – Registration is OPEN. City-wide block party night, Tuesday, August 1st. Sign your block up for Night Out. Register your event and add it to the map: http://www.seattle.gov/police/community-policing/night-out When you register your event in Seattle, most non-arterial streets can be blocked off—without a fee—so you and your neighbors can take over the street.  Community Emergency Hubs Drill.  Saturday, July 29, 9 a.m., Loyal Heights Playfield.  A Community Emergency Hub is a pre-determined location where neighbors can gather in an emergency and share information and resources. Community Emergency Hubs Meeting. Tuesday, June 20, 6:30-8:00 p.m., Kirke Park P-Patch, 7028 9th Ave NW.  “What is a P-Patch Community Emergency Hub and How Might I Participate?” Everyone is welcome to attend to find out about this City program. The Seattle Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the P-Patch Community Gardening Program to designate all P-Patch Gardens as gathering places during an emergency (Community Emergency Hubs.)
